Position Summary
Futures Group is recruiting a Study Coordinator for an upcoming program evaluating gender-based violence interventions in Tanzania.

Key Responsibilities
• Manages day-to-day operations of data collection, data entry, and data pricing.
• Contributes to the development of the evaluation, study protocol, and analysis.
• Monitors and ensures that the study is conducted according to protocol.
• Supervises and provides technical guidance to project staff members.
• Provides analytical and evaluative techniques to identify, consider, and resolve issues or problems.
• Organizes as needed project trainings, conferences, workshops, and meetings.
• Participates, and represents the organization as needed, in outside associations, conferences, and symposia.
• Participates in and/or prepares necessary technical and program-related reports, including presentations and manuscripts for scientific publication.

Qualifications
• Advanced degree in public health, such as epidemiology, biostatistics, or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in public health research or program evaluation involving larger-scale data collection.
• Experience implementing community-based or field research in sub-Saharan Africa required; experience with GBV and HIV and other health programs preferred.
• Demonstrated project management and operations skills including team building and team management.
• Strong interpersonal, writing, presentation, and organizational skills are required.
• Demonstrated problem solving, analytic, financial, and evaluative skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to effectively and efficiently perform multiple tasks and balance competing priorities often within a required timeframe.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English; proficiency in Kiswahili preferred.
• Familiarity with the political, social, economic, and cultural context of working in Tanzania preferred.
Preference will be given to local nationals.
