Stramit Building Products is a leading Australian manufacturer of steel building products,
including roofing, walling, gutters and fascias, purlins, flooring, structural
formwork and roller doors. We are part of Fletcher Building, a diversified

The opportunity has arisen for a Continuous
Improvement Engineer to join our Zero Harm manufacturing environment at
Maddington, Western Australia. In this newly created role you be respons

ible
for leading the implementation and realization of a diverse range of continuous
improvement initiatives utilising an understanding of lean manufacturing
principles. Reporting to the Operations Manager this role will require you to
work closely with the key managers and lead cross functional team members within
manufacturing / operations to achieve a range of process improvement
initiatives across safety, productivity, quality, waste/cost reduction, 5S,
visual management and leadership competencies.  You will achieve this
through coaching, monitoring, consulting, supporting and guiding teams to
deliver tangible process improvements.

To be successful you demonstrate previous success
in a continuous improvement or process improvement role where you have
delivered performance improvements and cost reduction that have aligned with
overall business objectives.  Demonstrating a strong leadership
disposition you will have strong project management skills to ensure projects
are delivered successfully within specified timeframes.  With Tertiary
qualifications in engineering, you will have a strong understanding of lean
principles, Six Sigma, OEE and root cause analysis.   You will
demonstrate strong statistical analysis, business acumen and excellent
communication and interpersonal skills to influence and build solid, long-term
relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
