Australia’s leading
designer and manufacturer of fully automated end-of-line packaging machines has
positions available for 2 casual mechanical fitters with experience in
installation and service of packaging equipment, that love to travel. The
positions are initially casual with a view to becoming permanent.
The workshop/office
is based on the Northside
of Brisbane.
The role would
include but not limited to:
- Carrying
out our customers service requests, including breakdowns, routine
maintenance, equipment audits and surveys. This would include
mechanical/pneumatic fault finding. - Participate
in machine installations, whether it be on your own or as part of a
team. Work with the installation supervisor and other tradesman to
complete the job safely and in a timely manner. - Training
of customer operators and technical personnel in the efficient use of the
equipment . This includes understanding the operating, maintenance
and safety manuals supplied with the machine. - Consultation
with customers on site, providing them with their requirements and
meeting their expectations. - Working
with a small team of technical Mechanical and Electrical tradesmen,
Engineers and PLC Programmers. - Travel
requirement is domestic and international including to our manufacturing
facility in Thailand and customer sites throughout Asia and the Middle
East. Travel at a minimum is expected to be 50-60% of the role.
The ideal
candidate will have:
-Trade
Qualifications as Fitter (Essential)
-Minimum 3-5 years
post trade experience.
-Ability to
understand the operation, maintenance and servicing of EOL machinery and
equipment. and be able to troubleshoot problems on site in a sometimes pressure
situation.
-Quality customer
service skills
-Own PPE – steel
capped boots and high-vis clothing
-Be prepared to
tackle any issue, including mechanical, pneumatic, or diagnose electrical and
or PLC program related issues.
