FHI 360 Finance Assistant Job Vacancy in Uganda

FHI 360 is a global development organization with a rigorous, evidence-based approach dedicated to improving lives through a highly diversified program in health, nutrition, education, economic development, civil society, environment and research. With funding from USAID, FHI is providing technical assistance to 12 districts in Uganda to implement integrated community based family planning, child survival and nutrition interventions.

FHI 360 – Uganda seeks to recruit qualified persons to fill the following vacant positions:

Job Title: Finance Assistant ( 1 Position)
Reports to: The Finance & Administration Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Finance Assistant shall provide support to the Finance and Administration department and his/her responsibilities shall include but not limited to: Hook keeping, petty cash management, budget preparation and control, prepare monthly cash and bank reconciliations, remit tax and NSSF returns to the statutory institutions, maintain the NEP register and support the procurement function of FHI 360. The post holder will be based in Kampala.

Job requirement
EDUCATION , SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
University degree in Commerce, BBA with specialization in finance or accounting and 2-3 years experience with good knowledge of accounting in a similar environment. Good organization and administrative skills, attention, to detail and demonstrable computer knowledge are a must.
