Job Objective:
The Trade Development Representative (TDR) will be responsible for increasing sales through MTN dealers and MFI Partners, training dealers and partners on Fenix International Inc products, developing new sales verticals and also ensure quality service delivery in the assigned territory. TDRs will work closely with Fenix Business Development Manager, Regional MTN staff and dealers to meet sales targets, to roll out and monitor marketing initiatives in their territory and follow up on technical issues. The objective of the position is to increase sales through the MTN dealer network and develop new partnerships with MFIs and other partners in each territory and this person will report to the Rwanda Business Development Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Train agents, dealers and their staff on Fenix International Inc products.
• Help to set regional sales targets and work with dealers to reach these targets.
• Plan and oversee road shows in your region.
• Develop and implement special sales activities/activations to increase sales and product awareness.
• Identify marketing needs in regional territories & communicate them to Business Development Team.
• Support & monitor rollout of marketing materials and promotions.
• Support MFI and NGO partner branches selling the ReadySet in your region.
• Follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from field activity.
• Identify and resolve client concerns. Work with the technical team to ensure a high quality of after-sales service and customer satisfaction in your region.
• Prepare sales and activity reports in a timely manner.
• Respond to email and phone in a timely manner.
• Communicate new product and service ideas and opportunities, special developments, information about competing products, or feedback gathered through field activity to the Business Development Manager.
• Support Business Development and Technical Teams as needed.
Qualification and Skills:
• Diploma or degree.
• At least 2 years sales/training experience and meeting KPI’s in a related environment.
• Ability to articulate value of Fenix products to a wide range of decision makers, distributors and potential customers.
• Ability to train groups of people & speak at promotional events.
• Ability to develop and manage project plans, work independently, prioritize, plan and execute work activities successfully.
• Hard working, proactive, strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills and highly organised.
• Ability to use Microsoft products & Google products Strong verbal and written English and Kinyarwanda.
• Basic understanding of solar products and ability/willingness to learn about technical aspects of the Fenix products.
• Valid Driver’s License will be an added advantage
