Feed The Children Malawi is a local NGO working to
promote the lives of children with disabilities. The organization is currently
implementing a 4 year Comic Relief funded ECD project in Thyolo and Mulanje
Districts entitled “Early Childhood Development targeting children with disabilities”.
Feed The Children Malawi is seeking to recruit a Monitoring, Evaluation and
Learning (MEL)

Officer for a 12 month fixed contract.

The post of Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning
Officer is tenable at Feed The Children Malawi head office in Blantyre.

This position will be responsible to the Executive
Director but will directly be reporting to the Project Coordinator.

Specifically the Monitoring, Evaluation and
Learning officer will:

Undertake
statistical analysis with SPSS/STATA/NVIVO

·
Contribute
to overall program planning to integrate M&E into project activities.

·
Contribute
to ongoing development of an organisation-wide core set of

·
Keep up
to date on M&E initiatives in the organisation with regards to routine
project data collection

·
Support
and monitor District Project staff on the collection, submission and
interpretation of data.

·
Support
District Staff and CBCC caregiver mentors with training and capacity building
on M&E related theory and practice.

·
Support
Data Entry Clerk with training and capacity building on M&E related theory
and practice and data entry procedures.

·
Assist
with the supervision of the Data Entry Clerk.

·
Conduct
data collection, analysis and presentations.

·
Develop
and updating Project M&E plans

·
Strengthen,
harmonise and Standardise the exiting data collection, analysis and reporting
systems

·
Develop a
regular review of District Offices to evaluate the utilization and impact of
on-going M&E activities.

·
Validate
the collected data and support the preparation of reports

·
Support
the preparation of reports (e.g. Quarterly, Annually and other

·
Participate
in supervision and evaluation of M&E activities in district offices

·
Any other
duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications, Skills and Competencies

·
Bachelor
of Science majoring in Statistics and Demography, Bachelor’s Degree in Social
Sciences, or any other related qualifications

·
Minimum
of 3 years experience in Monitoring and Evaluation

·
Experience
in use of statistical packages (e.g. STATA, SPSS, NVIVO) and database designing

·
Compilation
of huge data sets from multiple sources

·
Excellent
interpersonal and presentation skills.
