Faculty of Science International PhD Scholarships at University of East Anglia in UK

The Faculty of
Science at the University of East Anglia is offering a number of partial
scholarships to support academically outstanding international research
students.

The Faculty of
Science is one of the largest faculties within the University of East Anglia
and is based in one contiguous building encouraging a ‘faculty without walls’
approach to innovation and excellence in both Teaching and Research.

The aim of the
scholarship is to provide a

n intellectually challenging learning experience
within a supportive educational environment that is responsive to student needs
and this is reflected in the high scores received in the National Student
Satisfaction survey.

If English is not
applicant’s first language or they are from a country that is not on the UKVI
list of English speaking countries, they may be required to provide evidence of
proficiency in the English language.

Course
Level:
Scholarships
are available for pursuing Ph.D. programme within the Faculty of Science.

Study
Subject:
Scholarships
are awarded in the field of Actuarial Sciences, Biological Sciences,
Biochemistry, Chemistry, Computing Sciences, Engineering, Environmental
Sciences, Geography, Mathematics, Natural Sciences, Pharmacy, and Physics.

Scholarship Award:
These
will have the value equivalent to 25% of the University’s International student
fee for three years.

can be taken in the 
UK

Eligibility:
Candidates
should have secured an offer of a place to study for a Ph.D. in the Faculty,
and either have the remaining funding in place from employer sponsorship or a
scholarship awarding body or be making an application which will cover these
costs. The majority of scholarships will be awarded to students from outside of
the EU.

Nationality: International research
students can apply for these Ph.D. scholarships.

College
Admission Requirement

Entrance
Requirement: The minimum academic requirement across the University for entry
to a doctoral degree is either at least a 2:1 in a UK undergraduate degree, or
a Master’s degree, or equivalent.

Test Requirement: No

English Language
Requirement: Applicants require overall IELTS score of 6.5 (at least 6.0 in
each component).

Application
Deadline:
The
initial closing date for supervisors to do this is 15 November 2016, with
further closing dates at approximately two monthly intervals after this until
15 May 2017.
