RF Design Engineer
Salary: Negotiable
Perform RF subsystem or module design, simulation and verification in order to achieve required specifications. The subsystems/ modules range from receiver, upconverter, and frequency synthesizer using DDS or PLL technology.
Develop technical documents such as schematics, design document, test procedures.
Lead testing and qualification test activities in order to meet required environmental operating conditions e.g. MIL-STD-461 or MIL-STD-810.
Provide technical advice to other projects.
Contribute actively to internal reviews to ascertain potential risks and mitigation plans.
Job Requirements
Good Masters/ Bachelor’s Degree in Electronics Engineering, preferably specializing in the areas of RF circuit design or Communications.
Minimum 5 years of experience in RF system, subsystem and circuit level of hardware design, implementation and testing. Apt in performing RF gain budget, noise figure and intermodulation spurious calculations. Experience in work involving higher RF frequencies will be an advantage.
Knowledge of RF test methodologies and use of RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meter, noise figure meter and network analyzer.
Experience in use of such RF design tools as ADS, SysCal or Microwave Office. Knowledge of MATLAB will be an advantage.
Keen to learn and work with new RF technologies and assembly processes.
