DUTIES

National Expert, under supervision of Friends Peace House Coordinator, is

Design gender and culture sensitive modules for conflict resolution in camps
for different target groups, such as camp committees, conflict resolution
committees, youth and elders involved in conflict solving

Plan, organize and implement trainings with the target groups in camps

Develop an activity plan with its corresponding budget

Monitor and evaluate trainings (with direct beneficiaries and indirect

QUALIFICATIONS,
WORK EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES:

Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Pedagogy, Peace Studies

Proven knowledge of methods of conflict resolution and transformation including
mediation Proven knowledge of monitoring the impact of peace work

At least five (5) years professional experience in participatory training
facilitation preferably in the Great Lakes Region

At least two (2) years experience in project management

At least three (3) years experience as a trainer of peace building methods,
with a focus on community mediators

ESSENTIAL

Fluent written and oral knowledge of Kinyarwanda, French and English; knowledge
of Kiswahili would be an asset
