SENIOR
INVESTMENT OFFICER-SYNDICATIONS
Job Summary:
The Senior
Investment Officer-Syndications will be responsible for establishing and
building the syndication function within the Bank. The position holder is
expected to develop internal operational procedures for the unit and manage
resources to maximize its effectiveness in supporting Investment Officers,
marketing investors and executing transactions; provide structuring guidance to
Investment Officers and actively participate in presenting proposals and
mandate letters to clients; market the Bank’s syndication services to
commercial and DFI co-financiers; support and implement syndication using
risk-management products including PRI and PRG; provide market pricing and risk
appetite feedback to Bank management and work with internal counter-parties to
establish capacity to act as agent for commercial and DFI syndications.
Job
Specifications:
-A Bachelor’s Degree
from a recognized university in Accounting, Banking, Commerce, Economics,
Finance or equivalent with a relevant Master’s Degree and professional
qualifications as added advantages;
-Credit training in a commercial banking or development lending institution;
-A minimum of 8 – 10 years of experience in a busy commercial banking or DFI
environment with at least 2 years of experience in a supervisory/ managerial
role;
-Practical knowledge of the syndication market with a demonstrable track
record;
-A results oriented individual with the ability to manage priorities in a
dynamic business environment with minimal day-today supervision;
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a
multi-cultural setting.
