Location: Delta, Greater Vancouver BC
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for
increasing the range and effectiveness of Earthwise environmental education and
community service programs, including:
• plan, implement and deliver commuit
y education programs
• develop and implement communications plans to raise awareness about programs
and messages
• build and maintain relationships with community groups, participants, and
sponsors
• monitor and track program deliverables. evaluate program effectiveness and
prepare reports
• explore oportunities to increase the range of educational and program
offerings
• assist with funding initiatives including grants, sponsoships, and special
events
• coordinate Therapeutic Horticulture program at the Earthwise Farm and Garden
• coordinate Delta food Coalition programs
• increase program participation and impact
Qualifications:
• post secondary program in related field
• experience with the development and delivery of environmental education
programs
• experience with the development and implementation of marketing and
communications plans
• familiarity with organic gardening principles and practice
• excellent communication and computer skills
• strong organizational skills with ability to priortize and muli-task
• good graphics and design skills
• awareness of the practice of horticulture therapy
