Tasked with improving health outcomes for A
ustralians through the delivery of
digital healthcare systems and the national digital health strategy for
Australia, the Australian Digital Health Agency (the Agency) commenced
operations on 1 July 2016.
The Agency is responsible for national digital health services and systems,
with a focus on engagement, innovation and clinical quality and safety. Our
focus is on putting data and technology safely to work for patients, consumers
and the healthcare professionals who look after them.
In
this role, you will drive meaningful adoption and use of digital health
solutions by having a deep understanding of the Agency’s products, providing
technical and non-technical support to organisations. This position will be
responsible for supporting the adoption of digital health, by establishing and
leading processes with clinical stakeholders that identify, prioritise and
rectify key usability issues or barriers.

Lead
and direct a Digital Health deployment support capability which includes:

- Establish
and provide support to a portfolio of implementation projects that: - Meet
the Agency’s strategic objectives and builds momentum behind Digital
Health. - Inform
the finalisation of specifications, ensuring appropriate governance. - Support
vendor integration activities. - Identify,
develop and deploy usability enhancements to software and Digital Health
processes, as appropriate. - In
conjunction with the Clinical Engagement Branch, lead the Agency’s
engagement with clinical peak bodies to develop and deliver a Clinical
Usability work programme. - Co-develop
content and identify opportunities for ongoing education programs. - Develop
and maintain effective relationships with key software vendors and digital
health delivery partners by: - Communicating
usability issues and making a strong contribution towards their
resolution. - Appropriate
analysis of usability issues in conjunction with vendors, clinicians and
technical teams, as required. - Usability
guidance to vendors, ensuring impacts are assessed and approvals received
before release.
To
be successful in this role you will need a strong background in managing a team
of highly skilled professionals, across complex and cross-organisational/Agency
programs of work. You will demonstrate strong business acumen, with the
aptitude to make appropriate decisions and a clear understanding of business
and stakeholder engagement including the ability to influence at senior
levels. In addition, you will require the appropriate tertiary
qualifications; Certified Health Informatician Australasia certification is
highly desirable.
