We
are partnered with a Globally Recognised Engineering Consultancy who have a
requirement for a Technical Manager for their Highways team in Sydney to lead
them through an exciting time of growth in NSW.





The
ideal candidate for this role will have a solid civil technical background in
Road/Highways Engineering and be a strong Team Leader who is comfortable
looking after the technical teams, has good experience working with RMS and
happy to be the face of the company in the market place.
 
This role can offer the right candidate the opportunity to join technical
experts and assist the growth of their Highways team in NSW.

Responsibilities for the position of Highways Team Leader are:

  • Assist
    with developing a growing team of dedicated professionals in the highways
    engineering industry within NSW for New Works and Maintenance Works
  • Contribute
    to the global Infrastructure Group with regards to leadership and
    management of large, complex infrastructure projects
  • Particular
    focus on Major Infrastructure projects with strong relationships with RMS
  • Lead
    design activity on major, highly complex projects striving for unique and
    innovative solutions
  • Undertakes
    strategic business development.
Requirements
for the Highways Team Leader are:
  • Bachelor
    of Engineering (accepted by Engineers Australia)
  • CPEng
    – required (NPER – desirable)
  • 10+
    years experience within Civil Engineering
  • Strong
    relationship with RMS and TfNSW
  • Experience
    across New Works and Maintenance contracts
  • Strong
    Leadership and Communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Strong
    commitment to innovative engineering 
  • Proven
    experience building new and developing existing relationships
  • A
    positive and ambitious approach to work.
