Job description
- Providing
sound accurate and prompt legal services to ensure that BITC complies with
relevant statutes and regulations. - Providing
Board secretarial services to the Board of Directors and company
secretarial services to BITC Management. - Preparing
legal documents, including drafting contracts. - Ensuring
that the Board decisions and activities are carried out in accordance with
the relevant statute and regulations. - Recommending
enhancement to BITC corporate governance and business policies. - Represent
BITC on Industrial Relations, Trade Dispute, Litigation matters,
Arbitration and mediation matters.
Requirements
- Hold
a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university and admitted
as an attorney in the Courts of Botswana. - Possess
at least 10 years post qualification experience, with at least 5 years’
experience as an attorney and at least 3 years litigation. - A
good knowledge of commercial law with a strong background in the provision
of legal advice. - Possession
of a CIS will be an added advantage - Effective
communication (verbal and written) skills • Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong
negotiation and advocacy skills • Attention to detail • Legal Research
skills. - Team
