The Organisation
As an iconic name in their industry, with a global workforce committed to making their products the world’s best – our client is currently seeking to appoint a senior contract specialist to join them in their Melbourne head office.
The Role
The position of Contract Specialist is responsible for the management of the contracting process, including:
• Negotiate and implement supplier contracts that deliver best value;
• Develop and maintain compliance matrices and ensure adherence to corporate legislative requirements;
• Develop and maintain contract compliance matrices and the flow down of contract requirements to Supplier Management Procurement Agents;
• Responsible for all aspects of bid management;
• Sourcing, solicitation, negotiating and contracting;
• Contract establishment, implementation and maintenance;
• Manage contract change and amendment;
• Manage the claims process for project and overhead activities;
• Support the preparation of accurate and complete budgets;
• Identify and manage supply chain opportunities and risks;
• Providing support to bids and proposals
• Application of Lean principles within the team, to each activity, and throughout supply base;
• Provide assessment and recommendation of supplier capability, capacity and ability to meet schedule and contract requirements;
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, key suppliers and overhead providers.
The Requirements
To be considered for this role you will be degree qualified and have an excellent understanding of contract negotiation and management and service delivery, as you will ultimately be responsible for the setting of and adherence to service level agreements, milestones and quality delivery of service.
With a proven track record in contract negotiation and management, ideally within an industrial construction background or manufacturing you have an understanding of business drivers, well developed analysis skills, strong communication, influencing and time management abilities.
