Commonwealth Golf Club Horticulture Apprenticeship Job Vacancy in Australia

Commonwealth Golf Club, situated in the famous
Melbourne Sandbelt golfing region, is seeking an individual to commence a four
year apprenticeship as a horticulturalist.

This will include completing the Certificate 3 in Horticulture. You will report
to the Course Manager via the Club’s Horticulturist and will assit with the
maintenance of vegetation and the development of programs in relation to
regeneration of native plants.

The successful applicant will be self motivated and it will be advantageous to
have a passion for golf and a willingness to commence a career in the
management of horticulture in a golf course environment.

The role also includes training for pesticide applications, disease
identification, irrigation, record keeping, use and maintenance of a chainsaw
and chipper and best practices with regard to OHS systems and procedures.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment is
essential.
