Manager tenable at College of
Medicine in Blantyre, Appointment will be made of a fixed term basis for 2 yrs,
which may be renewed depending on performance and availability of funds
To
led the data management of the research by setting up the data management
systems and oversight of data management activities for the delivery of
research data according to acceptable quality and integrity specifications,
timelines and budgets

Develop
and review Study Data Management plans, Quality Management Plans, Standard
Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Practice Guidelines (WPGs) that will
deliver accurate, consistent and quality data in a timely manner, Respond to
all data requests and ensure that all operational needs relating to data are
satisfied, Resolve all data related issues raised with the data sets produced,
Produce data analysis summaries and tables for research activities of the
studies, design data capture, entry, analysis and reporting tools as
required, To train all data officers in database design, data processing and
data management skills, as required and ensure adherence to set guidelines detailed
in the SOPS and WPGs by data management staff, To follow ICH guidelines and GCP
including international regulatory requirements for the conduct of research
relating to data handling n and processing, To programme PDA/Touchscreen
devices, Responsible for all IT equipment and management of LAN and WAN
systems, Installing and upgrading software for all computers, Producing weekly
and monthly status reports for all studies

University
Degree in Computer Science, information Technology or a related from a recognised
institution, 2 yrs relevant experience in a research setting
