Centre for Control of Childhood Communicable Disease was founded in 1957 with
her headquarters located in Brussels, Belgium with a special focus on
developing and applying disease control and prevention by helping
parents, school principals, teachers, directors of child care facilities and
health care professionals prevent and control communicable
diseases. The Centre for Control of Childhood Communicable
Diseases is an international non-governmental organisation present in 81
countries with the main goal of protecting children from childhood diseases
communicable disease such as chickenpox, common cold, Hepatitis A, B and C,
measles, whooping cough, etc.

In 1984, the centre became recognised by the World
Health Organisation (WHO) and United Nations Children’s Fund which became
additional source of funding to the organisation. Centre for Control of
Childhood Communicable Diseases is funded by donations by institutional and
individual donations. Institutions include governments, non-governmental
organizations, multilateral agencies, corporations, trusts and foundations.
