Due to parental leave, we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a highly
experienced Group Finance Manager to join our Group Finance team based in
Cardno’s Global Head Office in Fortitude Valley. Reporting to the Chief
Financial Officer you will be responsible for the leadership and direction of
the Group Finance in order to achieve Cardno’s corporate objectives. This role
is for a 9-month fixed term contract.
Specifically, your duties will include –
- Management and professional development of a
team of five - Overseeing the month end and group consolidation
process - Overseeing the roll out of several global
Group Finance projects - Managing the engagement schedule for external
audit - Financial year end planning
- Accounting for potential merger and
acquisition activity - Board reporting and attending monthly
executive committee meeting to provide commentary of results - Ensuring half year and year end statutory is
completed by the team including relevant note disclosures
To be successful you will display –
- Tertiary qualifications in Business and/or
Commerce coupled with CA/CPA qualifications - Previous experience within a Group level
environment including consolidations of multiple entities - Demonstrated commercial experience in a large,
listed corporate environment - Previous experience in leading and mentoring a
team of finance professionals - Excellent communication skills to deliver
financial information to a non-financial audience - Well-developed time management skills to be
able to prioritise competing tasks and manage stakeholder expectations - Strong systems skills and ability to identify
process improvements and efficiencies
