Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Business Development Manager – Digital Media professional to supplement their existing team, expand and generate new markets / customers and assisting the business with its growth plans.

To be considered previous experience selling within a Digital Media / General Electronic Media Communications (email, sms and interactive web portals) environment is required.

The duties and responsibilities of the role are as follows (but not limited to):
• Realising new business and client service development opportunities – focusing on the promotion of cross media marketing applications.
• Creating a pipeline of potential new clients via a mixture of qualified leads, networking and market knowledge. Identifying new opportunities and applying sophisticated / strategic sales techniques to maximise sales.
• Be proactive in formulating and recommending policies and objectives to ensure the most efficient field sales activities.
• Taking an active role in responding to tenders and customer proposals, pricing requests / quotes and enquiries as required.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
• Strong, demonstrable track record in a digital media / electronic solutions sales background with a strong network of contacts.
• Ability to develop relationships with key decision makers, strategic sales approach and a firm ability to close deals.

The role will involve you working predominantly outside the office and travelling across the UK meeting customers as required. It is anticipated that you will spend approximately 4 days a week ‘on the road’ with the final day spent within the HQ in Central Scotland.
