16/06/2013. RBA carries out its activities with a mission to be at the
forefront of engaging audiences with qualify information, programs, and
multimedia services. In order to fulfill its mission, the management of RBA is
looking to recruit experienced, self motivated and hard working candidates to
fill the following vacant positions;

- Generating
ideas for stories/ features and following leads from different sources of
information: - Gather
information and write news stories, in addition; reading the stories
written by other news reporters; - Collecting
and analyzing information about newsworthy events to write news stories
for broadcast; - Researching
and collecting evidence information to support a story using relevant
information sources; - Writing
and reading news items for bulletins, headlines and reports which adhere
to legal and contractual guidelines; - Selecting
appropriate locations and sound exercising editorial judgment on the best
angle to approach a story from: - Edit,
or assist in editing, scripts, sound for broadcast; - Responsible
for editing and rewriting news stories to ensure they are accurate and fit
within the time and space allotments; - Using
portable equipment to record material and appropriate editing soft ware to
produce complete packages for broadcast; - Preparing
and presenting material on air for both pre-recorded and live pieces; - Identifying
potential interviewees, conduct interviews both live and recorded; - Determining
which stories are the most newsworthy and interesting, and organize them
so that the most pertinent pieces are presented first; - Planning,
researching and writing their own script before filming or broadcast; - Acting
as the host, introduce and interview guests and interact with the
audience; - Delivering
information to the audience in a manner appropriate to the programme; - Following
detailed instructions from the news room in order to keep everything to
plan whilst on air; - Reading
from auto-cues, learning a script or sometimes performing without formal
preparation; - Reacting
quickly and positively to any problems or changes.
Qualifications: Degree in any field
with 2yrs experience in related field, or Diploma in Journalism &
Communication with 4yrs working exp.

- Perform
live talk show programs basing on the guidelines of his/her superior; - Prepare
program that match with that talk show ; - Searching
for guiding themes in talk shows and to hand over them to his superiors for
collective final approval; - Prepare
subjects for talk shows and make extensive research on them; - Streamline
the talk show to meet target audience’s expectations - Avail
in every weekly production meeting his/her future program subjects and
their sources of information. - Generating
and researching ideas for programmes; - Developing
content, writing material for scripts, bulletins and links; - Selecting
music appropriate to the programme, the audience and the station; - Presenting
programmes for both pre-recorded and recorded output; - Checking
that copyrights are cleared and understanding media law; - Contributing
and making use of an archive of audio resources which can be re-used;
Responding to audience feedback; - Producing
and making use of user-generated content; - Using
technology, such adobe audition etc, for editing and production purposes;
Qualifications: Degree in any
