Job description

The Bridge2Rwanda Career Center
is seeking a high capacity, enthusiastic individual to join our teaching staff
in Kigali, Rwanda. This position will work closely with our Lead Teacher to
teach

a variety of courses in our Scholars Program, a 10-month university
preparation program for 30+ of Rwanda and Central Africa’s brightest students.

Potential classes to teach:
Combination of English, Literature, Public Speaking, Current Events, and
Debate. Leading small tutoring sessions, grading essays, providing thorough
student feedback a priority. Other responsibilities/duties as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree Required
(preferably in Education, English, or Communication) 2+ years of
teaching/tutoring experience preferred. TESOL Certification required, by start
date.

Full time, 1 year commitment —
Living Stipend negotiable based on qualifications.

Preferred skills include: –
Native speaker of English (or native level fluency) with experience passing SAT
exam and with U.S. university admissions – Classroom confidence with ability to
hold attention of students – Mentoring experience is appreciated – Ability to
quickly adapt to a new environment – Culturally sensitive and aware –
Self-starter with a keen interest in implementation – Strong organizational
skills, including effective time management
