The DBU Scholarship Exchange Programme with CEE countries offers young environmental scientists from Poland a research stay in Germany.

Eligibility: Graduate from the participating countries
• Citizen of one participating country
• Residence in the home country
• Limiting age of 30 years
• Above-average exam (master and diploma)
• Exam taken within the last three years
• Topic with environmental relevance (for the home country or the European Union)
• German language skills to be confirmed by the beginning of the scholarship at the latest
• Application and selection interview in German or English language

Scholarship Description: The programme offers young scientists from the respective countries a broadening experience of their professional horizons in the ecological domain within a research stay from six to twelve months in Germany. Continuing goal is to advance and develop the scholarship holders’ wide-ranged expertise in environmental protection and nature conservation. The research stays focus on significant German-Polish and European topics of environmental protection and nature conservation. The SdS supports the DBU in Poland in spreading the programme and selecting suitable scholarship candidates, and helps to consolidate the network of current and former scholarship holders and to intensify the contacts between Germans and Poles, thus contributing to a socially fertile climate between both countries. The activities of the SdS are supported by the DBU representative for Poland, Wieslawa Dyki. She coordinates the annual competition in Poland and is contact person for queries about the programme and the written application procedure.
