1. Principal
Scientist-Testing (Chemistry): Vacancy No. 1/2015/2016

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be expected To promote the adoption of standards
and quality assurance policies and practices within a sector to enhance the
delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to quality goods and services
and provide technical services within a specialized testing area (Chemistry).

Job Requirements
A degree in Chemistry and a valid driving licence as well as at least four
years practical experience in the development and/or implementation of
standards. Specialised postgraduate training in standards research and
development or implementation would be an added advantage.

2. Engineer-Testing
(Civil): Vacancy No. 2/2015/2016

Job Summary
The successful applicant will be expected to promote the adoption of standards
and quality assurance policies and practices within a sector to enhance the
delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to, quality goods and
services and provide technical services within a specialized Testing area
(Civil Engineering).

Job Requirements
A degree in Civil Engineering, a valid driving licence and be registered with
Engineers Registration Board. Relevant experience would be an added advantage.

3. Principal
Standards Engineer – Electrical: Vacancy No. 3/2015/2016

Job Summary
The successful applicant will be expected to develop and promote the adoption
of national standards within a particular industrial, commercial or
environmental sector and the modification of international standards to meet
Botswana conditions and thereby promote the delivery of quality goods and
services to consumers.

Job Requirements
A degree in Electrical Engineering and a valid driving licence as well as at
least four (4) years practical experience in the development and/or
implementation of standards and be registered with Engineers Registration
Board.

4. Engineer Trade
Metrology: Vacancy No. 4/2015/2016

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be expected to promote the adoption of standards
and quality assurance policies and practices within the trade metrology sector
to enhance the delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to, quality
goods and services and provide technical services within specialized Trade
Metrology area.

Job Requirements
A degree in natural sciences or engineering, a valid driving licence and be registered
with Engineers Registration Board. Relevant experience would be an added
advantage

5. Technician-Trade
Metrology: Vacancy No. 5/2015/2016

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be expected to promote the adoption of standards
and quality assurance policies and practices within the trade metrology sector
to enhance the delivery of, and public awareness of their rights to, quality
goods and services and provide technical services within a trade metrology
area.

Job Requirements
A Diploma in the natural/engineering sciences with specialized training in
Physics or Instrumentation, a valid driving licence and at least three years
experience in analytical sampling and testing in a commercial/industrial
laboratory.

6. Cashier: Vacancy
No. 6/2015/2016

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be expected to carry out the daily cash
transactions and processing of accounting routines and processing of accounting
documentation in accordance with BOBS regulations and standard accounting practices
to ensure accurate accounting for all financial transactions.

Job Requirements
A Diploma in Accounting and Business Studies (DABS) or equivalent qualification
and a minimum of one (1) year accounting experience in a computerised
accounting environment
