has an opportunity for the position of
Boiler Mechanic – Plumber
Duties:
– Performs preventative maintenance on the Mushuau Innu Band Council Departments.
– Coordinates and oversees the work of external vendors
– Operates boilers and systems schedule and oversee departments schedule inspections test and maintains boiler water chemical level
– Purchases and maintains inventory of parts, boiler chemical and supplies
– Documents daily reading in log books
– Operation and repairs of the existing air handling units, plumbing system pumps and related equipment and basic electrical, in floor heating and plumbing
Requirements:
– Minimum of 2 or 3 years experience as Building Boiler Mechanic
– Additional education including vocational school
– Basic mechanical, electrical and plumbing skills required
– Knowledge of major building systems HVAC and mechanical related boiler operations
– Knowledge on HVAC preferred
– Computer software skills
– Must be able to read and understand and follow blue prints “as builts”
– Work independently and strong work ethics
– Self motivated
