Bid Manager Job Vacancy in Stirling

This position will be based in Central Scotland with some travel expected within the UK.
The Person
We are inviting candidates to apply who have a thorough knowledge of local, regional, national and European funded programmes and their associated contract processes as well as previous exposure to social welfare/regeneration tender submissions. The successful applicant will have a proven track record of constructing clear and effective tender documentation coupled with high quality presentation and communication skills.

All applicants should have exceptional research capabilities; the ability to absorb, understand and report on public policy developments and Government initiatives as well as assessing and providing updates on competitors within the market. You should have strong business development and influencing skills with an ability to devise and develop innovative proposals that fulfil business objectives.

The Role
You will be joining an organisation that consistently delivers exceptional results on public sector contracts, creating further opportunities to drive their success. This position reports directly to the Managing Director and is unique within the organisation which gives excellent scope for the right person to contribute to the company’s development.

Your key tasks will include:
• Identify and source appropriate bidding and funding opportunities across the UK and Europe in line with the strategic objectives of the organisation. Scope and submit for pre-approval by the Executive Management Team to progress
• Respond appropriately to enquiries for bids, providing overview and assessment of the synergistic links with the company’s strategic plan
• Work with the Managing Director and Executive Management Team to develop and shape project ideas, ensuring full and up-to-date research data and statistical analysis, as appropriate, is collated to create best responses and maximise success of bids.
• Monitor changes and developments in market forces, government imperatives and bid requests in order to develop and prepare high quality bid submissions
• Out with direct bid writing, work with the Executive Management Team and appropriate staff to promote and develop the services of the company
• To adhere to quality processes and procedures.
• Monitor own progress towards business and individual objectives
