Applications
are now sought from radio frequency (RF) engineers with experience in the
design and development of RF systems and equipment. Y

ou will report to the
Project Engineering Manager and work as part of a strong performing team.

Your
key responsibilities will include:
  • Deriving
    electronic/electrical system and/or equipment requirements, defining the
    test requirements and participating in system design and requirements
    reviews
  • Developing
    complex electronic/electrical system and/or equipment architectures,
    optimised against of key performance and environmental factors, including
    conducting reviews of hardware architectures
  • Undertaking
    functional analysis of complex RF system and equipment architectural
    designs, including identification of and assessment against critical
    performance factors
  • Developing
    detailed design from complex RF system and/or equipment architectures, optimised
    against key performance and environmental requirements, including
    conducting review of detailed designs
  • Undertaking
    the translation of the RF system and/or equipment design into a
    manufacturable solution incorporating design for manufacture factors and
    analysis of the implementation method against design performance,
    including review of hardware implementations
  • Undertaking
    the integration and validation of complex RF system and/or equipment
    designs with challenging physical and functional properties, including
    review of integration and validation plans and reports
  • Ensuring
    compliance with BAE Systems Engineering Lifecycle
As
the ideal applicant, you will have:
  • Proven
    experience in developing designs, participating in design reviews,
    undertaking typical design analyses and implementing RF hardware
    solutions, including integrating, validating and qualification testing
  • A
    degree or equivalent experience  satisfying the requirements for
    membership of Engineers Australia
  • Well-developed
    analytical, problem solving, communication and leadership skills
  • Eligibility
    to obtain a security clearance and be cleared for International Traffic in
    Arms Regulations (ITAR)
As
Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be
Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International
Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality
may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
