A local NGO located in Kigali, Gasabo district is
looking for an education officer to teach English, literacy/numeracy and Junior
Account.
1. Education
officer
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Sensitize and encourage participants to enroll
    in English and literacy classes.
  • Request and take care of teaching materials
  • Prepare a time table with programme
    coordinator
  • Keep attendance register
  • Produce monthly report to PC and cc to CEO
  • Ensure conformity to the country syllabus on
    literacy
  • Take a part in information data collection of
    enrollment and evaluation
  • Adapt teaching methods and instructional
    materials to meet participants varying needs and interest
  • Set test and exams to evaluate participants
    work to determine progress and make suggestions for improvement
  • Establish and enforce rules procedures and
    attendance for maintaining order.
  • Interpretation for visitors and document
    translation
  • Supervise all vocational skills training
    teachers
  • Any other duties assigned.
Qualification and skills required:
  • Have a bachelor’s degree in Education with 2
    years working Experience
  • Be strong in written/spoken English and
    Kinyarwanda
  • Be a self motivated person
  • Be 28 – 40 years old
  • Ability to prioritize workloads to meet the
    deadlines
  • Strong Reporting skills
  • Ability to deal with people of different ages
  • Strong results oriented person
  • Should be Computer Literate in Microsoft
    Excel, word and other computer programs.
  • Salary is 275.000 Frw gross.
  • Available to start work on 1/2/2014
2. JUNIOR
ACCOUNTANT
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage the Account receivable and Account
    Payable
  • Manage petty cash
  • Follow up of Internal and External payments
    (TPR, RSSB& Others)
  • Assist the senior Accountant in managing stock
    and follow up on materials purchase
  • Establish the system of documentation and
    maintain the record of all and help for Internal and External Auditing.
  • Manage inventory
  • Prepare the Monthly and Quarterly Reports
  • Assist Senior Accountant With monthly Account
    Closing
  • Assist Program graduate and manage their micro
    funds and advice other in business development, business Plan and Business
    Reporting.
  • Any duties Assigned
Qualification and skills required:
  • Must have a bachelor Degree in Finance,
    Accounting and Economics or other related field.
  • Rwandan aged between 25 to 35 years old
  • 1 year working Experience in full time as
    Cashier.
  • Should have knowledge of Financial 
    Management& Report writing
  • Should be Computer Literate in Microsoft
    Excell, word and Other Accounting Packages (knowing the Tally software it
    an Advantage).
  • Should have ability to maintain effective
    Working relationships with all levels of staff and others stakeholders
  • Must be fluent in Both English and Kinyarwanda
  • Salary 150.000frw gross.
  • Available to start work on 1/2/2014
