Chemical Engineer to join the technical group at our Kwinana Refinery on a 12
month fixed term contract.
The Chemical Engineer is primarily accountable for monitoring process variables
and recommending
changes, initiating and conducting investigatory projects, and implementing
process efficiency improvements to facilitate the continuity and improvement in
operation of the process, plant, and product quality within his/her assigned
area of responsibility.
In this role you will also:
• Ensure prudent commitment of capital by developing and regularly updating
production upgrade plans and cost reduction plans.
• Consistently improve the technical efficiency of the refinery through best
practice application and daily management processes.
• Contribute to the expansion of production capability and improved technical
operations by process problem-solving and plant trials.
To ensure your success in this role, you must possess a tertiary qualification
in Chemical Engineering and have the ability to communicate at all levels and
maintain process management systems. Process plant experience is desired and
previous experience in the Bayer process will be highly regarded. A
demonstrated commitment to Environment, Health and Safety is essential, along
with a proven track record in pro-active problem solving. Your use of
initiative and a desire to continuously improve business performance will be
utilised in this dynamic team environment.
