Engineering
We deliver creative solutions for building projects for industry, government,
commercial and leisure sectors. Our building engineering specialists have
expertise in structural and building services engineering, fire engineering,
acoustics, facades and seismic design. We embed sustainability principles in
every design.
Role Summary:
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a senior engineer, with a minimum
of 5 years industry experience to join our Facade team based in Brisbane. We
are looking for an enthusiastic individual who is interested in both
Architecture and Building structures and has been trained in this
multidisciplinary industry.
Our team works on a range of projects from large scale commercial buildings to
remedial works, with some work on exciting overseas projects and around
Australia. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of a
project, from the bidding phase through to design and finally construction.
This role will involve collaboration across all aspects of the industry and
internally (both locally and across the region). The role will require regular
communication with external clients, architects, consultants and contractors /
builders. Ideally the successful candidate would be, or have the ability to be,
a chartered member of Engineers Australia.
Key Responsibilities
•Work closely with other members of the Façade team, both locally and
nationally, to deliver projects unique and innovative solutions, representing
value for money for our clients
•Ability to utilise and grow junior staff to deliver projects
•Represent the company at meetings
•Prepare submissions and bids for standalone facade projects and for facade
components in bids involving multiple disciplines;
•Work with other groups and business lines to leverage AECOM’s contacts with a
view to increasing facade commissions
Ideally you will have:
•Appropriate tertiary qualification
•Minimum 5 years’ relevant professional experience
•Recognised professional standing within the discipline of Façade Engineering
•Ability to, or be, a chartered member of Engineers Australia
•Knowledge of relevant façade & structural software, eg. Strand 7,
Spacegass, Therm, Autocad, Revit
•Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
•Competent in the use of systems such as Project Management tools
•Knowledge of the market for consulting services
