We are seeking Chief of Party candidates for a multiyear, USAID-funded project
in Rwanda, Private-Sector Driven Agricultural Growth (PSD-AG). The program will
increase smallholder incomes by promoting private sector investments that
contribute to the government of Rwanda’s Vision 2020 aim of “transforming
agriculture into a market-oriented, competitive, and high value-sector.”
Technical Qualifications:
- Experience in a mix of value chain
competitiveness, investment promotion, agribusiness development, and
business enabling environment. - Demonstrated experience in managing market-led
agriculture investment promotion programs, preferably with a value chain
growth focus. - Proven ability to analyze and identify
national and international market opportunities, build commercially viable
relationships with private sector actors and facilitate investments in
upgrading. - Demonstrated effectiveness in building
partnerships with host country governments, and providing advisory support
to senior level decision makers. - Demonstrated experience in policy formulation
and analysis, particularly as it relates to trade and investment
promotion.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 15 years of progressively
responsible supervisory work experience. - At least 5 years of chief-of-party experience
in managing large (at least $10 million) USAID-funded projects. - Fluency in English and French preferred.
- M.S., M.B.A., or other post-graduate degree in
trade, agricultural development, institutional development or other
relevant field.
