Position: Account Manager –
Solar Solutions
Location: Toronto, Ontario
OVERVIEW:
Our
client is a leading Renewable Energy Solutions provider.  They are seeking
a highly motivated, goal oriented, self-starter with a passion for renewable
energy solutions.

This
person will be responsible for developing and managing customer opportunities
within the Solar dealer/installer/ EPC market, both in the off-grid and
grid-tie market. This position will have a primary focus on developing new
relationships and also maintaining relationships with existing dealers and
installers.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Promote
    the company’s solutions to existing dealers/installers that sell to
    residential and commercial markets, as well as identify and solicit
    potential clients.
  • Assess
    dealers/installers’ needs and resources and recommend the appropriate
    solution or components.
  • Provide
    input into product design when goods or services must be tailored to suit
    a client’s needs.
  • Attain
    and exceed (monthly,quarterly,yearly) sales revenue targets.
  • Work
    closely with supplier partners to understand their product offerings.
  • Effectively
    deliver the company’s value proposition to customers and prospects. This
    will include presenting new products and services via the phone or
    face-to-face meetings.
  • Remain
    current on industry trends, changes in codes and standards and product
    developments by attending sales meetings, vendor training and trade shows
    and/or by reading trade journals.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Proven
    experience working within the renewable energy industry, preferrably
    within Solar solutions.
  • Knowledge
    of Ontario’s Feed In Tariff (FIT) program and overall solar market
  • Strong
    knowledge of Off-Grid and Grid Tie solutions
  • Experience
    and ability to sell into both the dealer/installer market and larger EPC
    integrator market.
  • Have
    a passion for sales and a “hunter” mentality when driving new business.
  • Must
    be self-motivated and exhibit excellent time management.
  • Must
    demonstrate attention to detail.
  • Possess
    strong relationship building skills to cultivate and develop customer
    loyalty.
  • Practice
    excellent spoken and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Preference
    will be given to those with experience in and a passion for sales.
  • Have
    proven proficiency with Microsoft Office products including Outlook,
    Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience
    with CRM solutions such as Salesforce.com is an asset.
  • Must
    be willing to work in a fast-paced environment.
