Abstract
This
family case study is on a 25 years old woman with severe malaria which was
admitted in Bomadi General Hospital with malaria with complain of fever,
headache, vomiting, nausea, weakness, loss of appetite that has persisted for
five days. Patient is unable to tolerate anything orally without vomiting.
After history taking and critical observation of patient health condition, the
situation was managed according to the nursing management process and was
discharged after three day with great improvement in her health condition.
After she was discharges, five home visits were carried out to assess how the
patient is coping and complying to treatment advice. Health education was given
to the patient and her family members on good environmental sanitation, use of
insecticide treated nets, good nutrition and family planning. At the end,
patient and her family were well informed on how to take care of their health
by maintaining good environmental sanitation and prevention of diseases.
