The Hunter Valley Rail Operations
(HVRO) provides year-round rail service and maintenance of capital assets and
infrastructure to clients in the rail, port, mine and infrastructure sectors.
Laing O’Rourke Australia is
recruiting for a Site Engineer- Rail to join the Hunter Valley Rail Operation
team.
As Site Engineer will be
responsible for assisting with coordinating the design process beyond
conversion, assisting the procurement process, planning and programming
requirements and be responsible for all the outputs of an allocated work
package. You will control delivery aspects of the package to ensure the project
is delivered to exceptional safety standards, and within budget, time and the
required level of quality.
Your responsibilities will
include:
•Daily coordination, planning and execution of the project plan at site.
•Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents
•Stakeholder liaison
•Overseeing all OH&S and QA together with documentation and reporting.
•Provide technical direction and issue resolution
To be successful in this role you
will have:
•You will hold a degree in construction management or an engineering discipline
•A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Site Engineer within the Rail sector.
•Experience with re-railing, track reconditionings, re-sleepering, track
construction, rail adjustment, FBW, all other track related maintenance and
construction operation
•Proven experience managing sub-contractors with programming and supervision
•Display a strong commitment to HSE&Q
•Must have a RISI, RIWC, general construction industry white card and valid
driver license
