We are looking for a
talented instructional designer who has previously worked across the service or
health industries and is able to write engaging content and training resources
for qualifications at Certificate II, Certificate III, Certificate IV and
Diploma level.
The position of Lead
Instructional Designer will be a Full Time contract position for 12 months
based in Sydney CBD. You will report directly t
o the General Manager. Your
responsibilities will include:
- Deconstructing
units of competency and creating mapping documents - Developing
and writing engaging content that is compliant with training package
requirements - Developing
assessment material to assess learning objectives - Repurposing
or updating existing training materials - Adhering
to project timelines - Participating
in moderation and validation at various stages of development
Selection
Criteria:
- Strong
background in the service industries, community services or health sectors
desirable - Demonstrated
analysis skills to unpack units of competency and undertake assessment
mapping - Experience
designing and writing content to meet training package compliance
requirements and in line with ASQA requirements - Relevant
VET sector qualifications (if Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
must provide evidence of successful completion of design and develop
assessment tools unit) - Good
understanding of adult learning principles - Exceptional
attention to detail required - Excellent
English language skills, particularly written English - Ability
to create/adapt learning content for engaging e-learning context/purpose - Strong
understanding of the Australian VET sector - Ability
to use rapid prototyping tools such as Adobe Captivate or similar
