About the Organization
The Association Duharanirekubaho (ADK) is a registered local nonprofit organization that seeks to promote a community where by the memory of the 1994, Genocide is preserved, psycho-social economic welfare of Genocide survivors and vulnerable groups is developed for a brighter future.

Association DUHARANIREKUBAHO aims to support survivors of 1994 Genocide especially youth to overcome the visible and invisible scars of genocide and become the pillar of the community based socio-economic positive change through innovation, partnership, advocacy and entrepreneurship. The association runs a number of income generating activities to sustain its day to day social-orientated programs.

Job Title: Executive Secretary
Job location: Butare, Rwanda
Details: Initial three months contract (renewable on review)
Start date – early March 2012
Reporting: To the board

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all daily work activities of the Association;
• Coordinate ADK’s staff and chair employees weekly meeting;
• Oversee the organizational planning, budgeting and implementation;
• Prepare reports both financial and narrative to Donors and to the Board of Directors;
• Managing all projects and programs of ADK;
• Develop a M&E plan and impact assessment for the ADK’s running projects;
• Develop new grant proposals to sustain the ADK’s work;
• Keeping the organizational book of accounts, petty cash and monthly bank reconciliation;
• Developing promotional materials and enhance the organizational visibility;
• Maintain good partnership with donors and prepare monthly updates to stakeholders.

Desired Skills and experience
• A fresh Graduate in Business Administration, Economics, and Accounting or in another area estimated equivalent;
• Strong interest and considerable interest in working with community development local NGOs;
• Good communication skills;
• Fluency in English and Kinyarwanda both in writing and speaking;

Personal specification:
• Good familiarity with Survivors of 1994 Genocide committed against Tutsi led-organizations.
• Highly organized and able to prioritize workload;
• A willingness to be flexible according to the demands of the organization;
• Details-oriented, creative and able to work under minimum supervision;
