Rwanda Natural Resources Authority Land and Mapping Department would like to recruit a number of GIS technicians on contract basis to support Land Tenure Regularisation activities in Rwanda
The post will be based at the RNRA Lands and Mapping department in Kigali
Tasks will involve but not limited to :
• Digitisation of land parcel maps based on data collected from the field
• Checking and cleaning of digitised records
• Scanning paper records
• Georeferencing scanned imagery
• Preparation of hardcopy map sheets from aerial photography and high resolution satellite imagery
Suitable candidates should demonstrate the following :
• A good bachelor’s degree in geography, Geography information System, or information Technology
• Some prior knowledge of GIS software such as ArchGIS
• Strong ICT skills. Excel and Word essential
• Prior experience of database, e.g Access, or SQL server are an advantage
• Good communication skills, Kinyarwanda and English language essential
Candidates should demonstrate the ability to meet tight deadlines, and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and possible some weekends
