World Council of
Credit Unions (WOCCU) seeks experienced Savings and Credit Cooperatives (SACCO)
Specialists to assist with the implementation of a donor-funded program to
provide support, in coordination with government stakeholder agencies, to
UMURENGE SACCOs.
SACCO FINANCIAL
SPECIALIST:
Responsibilities
include:
SACCO diagnostics,
financial and operational reviews, and train SACCOs on financial disciplines
and prudential management.
SACCO MARKETING
SPECIALIST:
Responsibilities
include:
Market research,
develop new savings products, design marketing campaigns, and train SACCO staff
on new savings products.
SACCO ACCOUNTING
SPECIALIST:
Responsibilities
include:
Conversion from
manual accounting to automated systems for small SACCOs including data entry of
transactions and application of generally accepted accounting principles.
INFORMATION &
TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST:
Responsibilities
include:
Evaluate financial
software, Assist in the installation process of the selected software and
liaison with the vendor, participate in migration of SACCO data to software.
HUMAN RESOURCE
SPECIALIST:
Responsibilities
include:
Review and design HR
policies, assess HR skills and draft master training plan.
Qualifications:
University degree in
finance, marketing, economics, business administration or management,
Information and Technology. Minimum of three years´ work experience in
banking/financial services, experience with financial cooperatives, SACCOs
preferred.
