The
UK operates a High Commission headquarters in Kigali and a smaller Liaison
Office in Bujumbura. There are around 20 residential properties for
ex-patriot staff, a fleet of vehicles and significant IT, finance, logistic,
and physical security operations.

As
Corporate Services Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Ensuring the efficient delivery of
high-quality services in all the areas above. - Identifying UK government service
standards, and your customers’ needs. Your performance will be
measured against these by senior managers monthly. - Setting clear performance standards
for your team, and identify where to use contractors. - Conducting procurement exercises that
meet UK government procedures for value and transparency. - Long-term planning to ensure the
consistent provision of corporate services during periods of high
demand. This will include financial and team-planning. - Line managing the leaders of five
smaller teams, covering the different services. You will have a
crucial role in setting the tone and direction for corporate services, and
in supporting senior managers in the running of the High Commission’s
operations.

Other skills / experience / qualifications:
- Managing contracts; line-managing
people; - Bachelor’s degree
- Five years’ management experience
- Experience of corporate
services/facilities management, procurement, contract negotiation, financial,
project or risk management is desirable - Ideally experience of responsible for
a team providing services - Read, write and speak in English.
