For the purpose of the research, total
of thirty (30) questionnaires were administered to two (2) departments. In the
selected banks of which only twenty (20) questionnaires were returned given a
response of 100% as seen below:

The table above shows that 28 staff
representing 92% of all the staff in the bank accepts that the introduction of
information technology has helped increase customer’s satisfaction whereas 2
staff representing 7% of the staff disagrees with this.

representing 100% agreed that the introduction of information technology has enhanced

technology lead to development and growth of banks?

The table shows that 23 staff
representing 77% accept that information technology has led to development and
growth of banks; whereas 7 staff representing 23% disagreed that introduction
of information technology has not lead to development and growth of banks.
Test of hypothesis
In the course of this study, three (3)
hypotheses were formulated as stated in chapter one of this study.
The hypothesis were stated in their
null (Ho) and alternative (H1) using the Chi-square test X2
The formula is given as:

Decision rule
If the value calculated X2
table is greater than the Chi-square table, accept the Null (H0) hypothesis and
reject the alternative hypothesis (H1): but if X2 calculated is less
than the Chi-square table, reject the Null (H0) hypothesis and accept the
alternative (H1) hypothesis.
