Population Services International (PSI) Country Representative Job Vacancy in Monrovia, Liberia

PSI
seeks candidates for immediate placement to manage PSI/Liberia’s Ebola response
as well as existing roster of projects in WASH and Sexual and Reproductive
Health. Strong candidates will have emergency experience and be
entrepreneurial, with an interest and/or experience in private sector
approaches to development. The Country Representative is based in Monrovia,
Liberia and reports to the Deputy Regional Director in Washington, D.C.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The
Country Representative will be responsible for the overall management
(financial, administrative, and programmatic) and representation of PSI’s
activities in Liberia. This includes, but is not limited to

Using
PSI’s positioning as communications experts to develop and implement Ebola
response activities in collaboration with the Government of Liberia, civil
society partners, and donors
External
relations with donor, government, NGO, and commercial entities
In-country
personnel recruitment, training, and supervision
Development
and implementation of marketing and communication campaigns and other
social marketing activities
Creation
and monitoring of project workplans
Management
of program budgets
Financial
and other reporting as required by donors and PSI/Washington
Development
and enforcement of field office administrative policies
Fundraising
for new activities

QUALIFICATIONS:

Significant
general management experience, with a technical background in public
health or marketing, and experience in emergency or post-conflict settings
At
least five years work experience in developing countries
Relevant
post-graduate degree (MBA, MPH, etc.) or equivalent experience
Demonstrated
ability to attract, motivate, and build the capacity of staff
Knowledge
of international development and health issues
Familiarity
with USAID and the international donor community
Fluency
in English

The
successful candidate will be a creative, innovative and strategic thinker, and
will have: excellent communication, analytical, organizational, interpersonal
and cross-cultural skills; and proven ability to produce results. Preference
will be given to candidates with demonstrated emergency management experience
and those that have experience working in limited-capacity settings.
