Work
station:
The CEO will be
based at the headquarters of the College which is located in Arusha, United
Republic of Tanzania. He will be expected to visit and coordinate the 10 member
countries.
The
Position:
The CEO reports
directly to the COSECSA-ASEA Council
The main
responsibilities will include:
- Develops
strategic plans, annual budget and annual operational plans - Fundraising
and marketing – a major goal to ensure that COSECSA-ASEA becomes
self-sustaining. - Runs
COSECSA-ASEA in a business-like manner, - Responsible
for operational management and handling of the College secretariat - Appoints,
delegates to and motivates senior secretariat staff - Develops
and nurtures links with Ministries of Health of member countries - Manages
the College on a day-to-day basis and interacts with Fellows, students,
other clients and stakeholders - Manages
the College budget
Experience,
Background and Qualities:
- The
applicant must be a self starter with high interpersonal and communication
skills - Profound
knowledge in policy analysis, marketing and fund raising abilities - Proficient
in the use of the English language - Masters
Degree in business management will be an added advantage - Experience
in running medical training organisations will be an added advantage

post is offered on a renewable three year contract basis. - The
preferred starting date would be the 1st of July, subject to
re-location issues.
