Conduct interviews
with audits aged 15 and above in the households that will be sampled, With
appropriate certification, conduct pre-test and post-test HTC counselling for
HIV, Comply with standard operating procedures and ethical guidelines, Conduct
effective participant referral and linkage to other services, Ensure survey
participants’ privacy and confidentiality, Obtain consent from adults 18-64
yrs, obtain assent from children 10-17 yrs, and permission from their parents
Graduates from a
recognized university
of college (most preferred) with minimum Diploma and
minimum of 3 yrs of practical experience in health, social sciences or other
relevant fields, Must have experience administering questionnaires in at least
3 different studies, Experience in using tablets or other mobile devices for
data collection is highly desirable, Experience conducting field surveys,
particularly HIV/AIDS and other health-related surveys is highly desirable,
Certification to conduct HTC counseling is desirable, Must be fluent in English
and either Chichewa, Chitumbuka or both and Must be of sober habits and able to
work under tight conditions and deadlines
Maturity, Good
listener, Interests in HIV/AIDS research, Interest in providing HCT counselling
and services, Patient, understanding and respectful of people’s values and
attitudes
Training for the
main data collection will be conducted in May whereas data collection is
expected to start in June 2015 for a period of 5-6 months
