Monitoring and Evaluation Officer – Blantyre
–Chilangoma – DAPP

Under the guidance of the Grant administrator Specialist collect or capture
data for all relevant indicators agreed with the donor – qualitative and
quantitative – required for the monitoring and evaluation of
DAPP-Blantyre-Chilangoma

Provide where necessary assistance in M&E to the project field staff,
Ensure that project results are well document
ed, Provide joint supervisions
visits with the project leaders and provide on technical assistance, Provide
technical guidance during baseline and end-line surveys, Review in liaison with
the grants administrator, sector leader and project leader project work plans,
reports and provide appropriate feedback to staff

Has passion for raising the social and economic status of rural farmers in
Malawi, Is familiar with Farmers Clubs or Cooperatives and the Agribusiness
environment in Malawi, Has practical experience in Monitoring and Evaluation
particularly data collection, processing and analysis on all key output and
performance milestones and indicators as well as development of appropriate
data collection forms and management of data entry programs to effectively
generate and archive information, Has strong leadership and monitoring skills
but is also a team player, Is dynamic and has commercial drive, Is able to lead
a team to meet deadlines, Has a positive attitude towards work and to delivery
results, Work according to guidelines given, Has very good communications
kills, Be ready to travel within Malawi in town, cities as well as rural areas
in order to perform duties

Degree e(BA) in relevant area (development studies, social science, Statistics
agriculture economics), Minimum of 3 yrs working experience in a demanding
Monitoring and Evaluation environment in donor funded agricultural projects,
Excellent reporting writing skills and timely reporting, Proven experience in
data management using data management programs, Good communication and
interpersonal skills desirable, Self starter and ability to work with minimum
supervision, Some experience in the NGO sector will be an added advantage
