Restaurant Specialist/Skills Trainer
The Restaurant Specialist
will be responsible for strengthening the operations of Botswana and South
African Nando’s portfolio by means of mentoring and coaching the Restaurant
Management on Generic Standard Operating Procedures and offering regular
training to the general restaurant staff , thereby ensuring standard quality
product and service.
Requirements
Duties/responsibilities:
- To
monitor the operational indicators of the restaurant, as well of the
auctioning of reports from the system auditors and communicate results to
the management team and develop & manage an action plan to improve
results and meet Nando’s standards - To
ensure that restaurants maintain clean and hygienic working environment at
all times according to Nando’s policies and procedures - To
ensure and facilitate compliance of all operational standards - Follow
the appropriate breach protocol in conjunction with the Operations Manager
in the event of non-compliance to brand standards - To
mentor restaurant managers in ensuring that corrective action to ensure
operational excellence is implemented - To
identify specific needs of the restaurant and facilitate the introduction
and support of representatives from other disciplines (such as marketing,
HR, Finance IT, etc.) - To
improve the different Audit results for the portfolio e.g. Mystery shopper
and Hygiene udits - Recommend
operational improvements where shortfalls are identified, to help improve
efficiency of operations - Assist
in sign off on new store openings and revamps - Identifying
operational skills needs and gaps and organizing training sessions - To
train, coach and guide all new Nandocas and Management on Nandos
procedures and policies through the Restaurant Management - To
ensure that staff is up to date with their training cycle
Qualifications/experience
Applicants must possess a Certificate or diploma in hospitality with at least
three years experience at Restaurant Management position or a senior position
in the Hospitality industry. A customer service background, and excellent
communication skills and must be a people’s person.
