Position
Summary:

* Create
site-wide system to identify and evaluate hazards (risks), and implement
effective controls (corrective solutions) consistent with risk management
process;
* Responsible for the development and implementation of H&S programs;
* Facilitate and participate in the effectiveness of employee H&S training
and education

programs;
* Responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate records;
* Prepare response to regulatory compliance activities;
* Gather and report data on H&S performance (metrics), plan execution,
audit corrective actions, and incidents.



Job
Qualifications:

* 3 years
of Health and Safety experience in a hospital or manufacturing environment
required;
* Functional H&S knowledge in regulatory requirements, HSE technical
aspects (safety, industrial hygiene, environmental), risk management,
behavior-based safety, training, regulatory agency enforcement.

Diploma in
Occupational H&S discipline, Science or Engineering; Professional H&S
certification or the desire to attain certification (CRSP) and experience in a
Work Well Audit, considered an asset.
