Free The Children seeks an enthusiastic and dynamic Web Developer to
join the Information Technology department, who has a strong knowledge
of several web technologies, is responsible for the daily maintenance,
upkeep and development of a several internal systems, registration
systems, forms, email campaigns. 2 years of web development experience
is required in LAMP environment.

Free The Children’s Creative and Communications department develops
and oversees the organization’s cutting edge international branding.

A minimum three-year commitment is required, with salary commensurate
to experience.There is a six (6) month probationary period, upon
reaching the three (3) month period, all staff members are offered a
health plan including dental and Employee Assistant Program. The
position is based out of Free The Children’s International office in
Toronto (233 Carlton Street). This role is perfect for a new graduate
who is looking to grow and work hard for two years. You love big goals
and surpassing expectations.

Responsibilities:

Entry level web developer with a strong knowledge of several web
technologies. This person is responsible for the daily maintenance,
upkeep and development of a several internal systems, registration
systems, forms, email campaigns. 2 years of web development experience
is required in LAMP environment.

Education:
• Certificate/Diploma in a web developer/programmer or related field

Languages:
• HTML, PHP, MySQL, jQuery, CSS, Apex, Visual Force

Programs:
• WordPress, Act-On, Salesforce

Bonus:
• Knowledge of creating email templates, optimizing messages for mobile

Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to articulate in a clear, concise, compelling and persuasive manner
• Outstanding work ethic
• Strong research skills, knowledge of the web
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple
projects within tight deadlines
• Ability to work well independently and within team settings
• Ability to take a verbal or written concept and develop applications
to support those concepts
• Develop pages based on existing designs using Adobe Creative
