Direct Marketing Manager Job Vacancy in Canada

The
Role
Working
alongside the marketing team, the Direct Marketing Manager develops and
executes direct marketing initiatives that drive acquisition from the existing
customer base and external prospects.  
The
role is accountable for managing the development and the end-to-end execution
of DM initiatives across multiple contact channels and marketing disciplines,
including email and direct mail.
What
you’ll do
•Contribute
to the planning and execution of marketing concepts and programs, such as email
marketing, social media, print campaigns, etc.
•Contribute
to the planning and development of new communication channels
•Conduct
marke

t research as needed to understand end user trends and preferences

•Monitor
and analyze competitors’ marketing strategies including products, pricing,
andadvertising and provide suggestions and recommendations
•Manage
and summarize marketing campaign analysis
•Track
responses (opens, clicks, orders, etc)
•End
to end development of direct marketing campaigns which will include direct mail
and email
•Manage
and coordinate direct marketing initiatives supporting customer acquisition,
cross-sell and retention/usage across the full range of product lines
•Identifying
the most pertinent data upon which to segment customers in order to meet campaigns’
communication and sales objectives
•Evaluate
campaign success against campaign communication and sales objectives
•Help
to identify new marketing opportunities for current and future products as part
of online marketing, to help increase site traffic and subscribers
Skills
and Qualifications:
 •Post-secondary
education in Marketing or Business
•Must
have 2-3 years of experience in direct marketing experience which would include
customer targeting, writing copy, test methodology, reporting, and direct
response strategies and techniques
•Must
be familiar with email marketing and/or other online media and advertising
•Must
have some experience with direct response advertising
•Knowledge
of and experience with finance, economics and/or the stock market
•A
solid understanding of copywriting principles, including copywriting for direct
tactics and newsletters
•Working
knowledge of customer retention, usage, and engagement techniques
•Ability
to work independently with moderate specific guidance
•Strong
project management, multi-tasking, and time management abilities
•Working
knowledge of understanding of other marketing/communication disciplines,
including digital marketing (web) and market research an asset
•Detail-oriented,
strong communication skills and a strong work ethic required
