We
are currently looking for casual Educators to work within various services
across the Central Coast.  The successful candidate will be available to
work before and after school care Monday to Friday as well as various hours
during vacation care.

About
your new role
We
are looking for committed Educators who have experience and knowledge around
before and after school care, your main role will be to ensure the safety of
all the children under our care whilst in our service. 
You
will have the opportunity to work across our various services within the
Central Coast.  Sites include Lisarow, Kincumber, Wamberal, Brooke Avenue,
Ettalong and Niagra Park.

lots of learning opportunities through YMCA to ensure your growth within the
organisation.

your role you will also ensure

    safety, security and wellbeing of the children in our care are
    protected

    service policies and procedures are in place and followed
  • Services

    create and deliver high quality and age appropriate programming
  • A
    child friendly, inviting and clean environment is maintained
  • Children
    are provided with interactive and stimulating activities
  • The
    interaction with children is continually positive, sensitive and
    respectful
  • Staff
    connect and respond to families and internal/external stakeholders
What
you will come with
Your
strong focus on child safety and developed observation skills will ensure your
success in this role. In addition, you will have:
  • HLTAID004
    First Aid
  • Previous
    experience working with children
  • Ability
    to recognise the needs of children and skills to nurture and support
    children new to the service
  • Ability
    to cope in an emergency or in a stressful situation
  • Ability
    to demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding children and young people
  • Knowledge
    of age appropriate recreational activities
