We are looking for a Lead Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Technician to join a well renowned gas company in Wales. The Lead Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Technician will be working as part of a dedicated team, leading the mechanical function ensuring that all mechanical systems across the site are available, reliable and maintained in compliance with the necessary company policies and procedures, legislation and codes of practice.
Lead Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Technician – key responsibilities and duties:
– Lead mechanical technicians to ensure all Health and Safety and Environmental requirements are met
– Ensure there are adequate emergency callout arrangements in place
– Ensure all scheduled maintenance activities including regular testing, calibration and certification of all mechanical equipment and pressure systems are carried out in compliance with company policies and procedures
– Monitor and review current equipment strategy
– Ensure the workshop is adequately equipped and maintained
– Deputise in the position of Maintenance Supervisor where appropriate
Lead Maintenance Technician / Mechanical Technician – qualifications, skills and experience:
– Degree qualification in a mechanical discipline or HND/HNC with comprehensive experience in a similar role
– Firm knowledge of Health, safety and environmental requirements
– Team playing and result oriented
– Solid experience in the maintenance and repair of rotating equipment within an oil, gas, power or heavy industry
– Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
– Knowledge of SAP computerised maintenance software would be a considerable advantage
